# Synthetic Payments

**Important**
This service only **applies when funds are received directly into the merchant's bank accounts**.
For this to work, you must grant Khipu the necessary **access permissions** to validate deposits as soon as they are recorded in your account.

## Description

**Synthetic Payments** is a solution for merchants who receive **direct transfers to their bank accounts** and need to **reconcile and integrate**
those transfers without going through Khipu's standard flow. The system **takes the information available in the bank statement** and displays it to your backend
through **API notifications** and in **reports** that you can also view by email or web services.

## How does it work?

1. Your customers make **transfers outside of Khipu** (directly to your bank account).
2. Khipu **reads and processes** these movements from the statement.
3. After **7 minutes**, we send an **API notification** with the transfer details so you can **reconcile** and update your order,
as well as include it in your **reports**.


**Attention**
Unlike payments made via Khipu, in **Synthetic Payments, notifications have an approximate latency of 7 minutes** before being sent
by our systems to your endpoint.
